This evocative artwork is a heartfelt tribute to love, the enchanting Greek island of Hydra, and the legendary Leonard Cohen. Inspired by Hydra, where Cohen met his muse Marianne in 1960—a story immortalized in his iconic song ‘So Long, Marianne’—the painting radiates a sense of romance and timeless beauty. It incorporates my own photographs, taken during one of my visits to Hydra, which have been artistically transferred into the composition, adding layers of authenticity and personal connection. This piece is a celebration of enduring love, creative inspiration, and the poetic allure of Hydra, an island that holds a special place in my heart.
